KnewKnowWare, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the Mic Status Pro application (the "App").

The short version: We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data. Mic Status Pro is designed as a standalone, local desktop utility. Specifically:

• No Telemetry or Analytics: We do not track how you use the App, nor do we collect crash reports or usage statistics.
• No Personal Information: We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any identifying information to use the App.
• No Internet Transmission: The App does not connect to the internet to transmit data to our servers or any third-party services.

3. Microphone Access

Mic Status Pro requires access to your system’s audio state to function.

• The App strictly monitors the hardware mute status (whether the microphone is active or muted) to trigger the visual screen border.
• We do not record, listen to, save, or transmit any audio data. The App only checks the on/off state of the audio endpoint; it does not process the audio feed itself.

4. Local Storage

Your user preferences (such as border color, thickness, and hotkey configurations) are saved locally on your own computer in a standard configuration file (config.json). Any diagnostic error logs generated by the App are also saved purely to your local hard drive. We do not have access to these files.

5. Third-Party Services

Because the App operates entirely locally on your machine, it does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, advertisers, or tracking networks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where feasible, providing a notice within the App.
